There is a strong sense of community at Woodridge Elementary school among the students, parents, and staff. From the moment I joined the community, I felt connected to everyone, and the atmosphere of the school is joyful every day! Students are eager to get involved in leadership opportunities, and the families are supportive of the collective dreams we have for the children. I feel very lucky to be leading such a friendly community!

We moved to Bellevue specifically for the schools, and from the moment our older son started kindergarten at Woodridge, I knew we had made the right decision. The support, creativity, and dedication of the staff are extraordinary. Serving as PTSA President has given me an even deeper appreciation for the partnership between families and educators that makes Woodridge such a welcoming and exceptional community.

Being part of Woodridge has been amazing, helping me grow personally and professionally. Seeing my kids happy to come to school every day, and my oldest son so enthusiastic about volunteering, assures me they feel welcome and safe here. It's a blessing to be part of this beautiful team and call Woodridge home.

What I love most about Woodridge Elementary is the strong sense of community and welcoming neighborhood feel. I felt it driving through the neighborhood even before I moved here and long before my kids were old enough to attend. I love seeing families, teachers, and staff come together to create programs and events that bring everyone closer and create core memories for our students. We truly come together to make things happen, even when they sometimes seem out of reach. Seeing the care, effort, and teamwork that goes on behind the scenes inspired me to get more involved and support the PTSA board by serving as Vice President. I feel so fortunate to be part of such a caring and connected community.

I moved to Bellevue for the high-quality public schools. Since then, my four kids have matriculated through elementary, middle, and high school. I’ve learned the Bellevue School District has the highest percentage of National Board Certified Teachers in Washington and ranks near the top nationally. Students and parents consistently rate those teachers highly. I'm so thankful for the support Bellevue Schools Foundation provides for this critical program.

I feel so lucky to work in a school that is close to my heart. The staff here is incredibly passionate about the students and the community, and it’s a joy to be part of such a dedicated team. I’m grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our students and work with wonderful families.

Woodridge has been a part of my life journey from a newlywed to becoming a parent. I also have my mother, a General School Assistant, as my colleague. It’s not very often that you see three generations together at the same school! Woodridge has been a very special place to me for the last 12 years, and I look forward to many more memories as a member of this wonderful community.

Since the moment my son joined the Woodridge community, he was welcomed with open arms. Although he has faced many challenges, I never once felt the team at Woodridge gave up on him. They leaned in and showed him more care and respect than I could have ever imagined. The time, effort and commitment that is shown by all on campus on a daily basis is more than I could have wished for for my son’s elementary school experience.
