Sharing Our Stories

Anecia Grigsby, Principal

I have truly enjoyed becoming a part of the Woodridge Community. The students are full of joy, the parents are authentic, and the staff is one of the strongest I’ve ever worked with. There is so much experience mixed with love in this community that I feel lucky to drive here daily. I love being a part of this neighborhood school.

Tomoe Anderson, Office Manager and Community Member.

I feel so lucky to work in a school that is close to my heart. The staff here is incredibly passionate about the students and the community, and it’s a joy to be part of such a dedicated team. I’m grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our students and work with wonderful families.

Watching kindergarteners use basic programming skills to move robots is an experience that you can only get in the Bellevue School District. The high-quality educational opportunities that our students have access to is only possible through the support of the community. The Bellevue Schools Foundation has been the key community partner to fund educational innovation in a way you can't find anywhere else in the state, so our students learn the skills to be 21st century thinkers starting in preschool.

Vincy Christian, Kindergarten Teacher and Parent.

Woodridge has been a part of my life journey from a newlywed to becoming a parent. I also have my mother, a General School Assistant, as my colleague. It’s not very often that you see three generations together at the same school! Woodridge has been a very special place to me for the last 12 years, and I look forward to many more memories as a member of this wonderful community.

Since the moment my son joined the Woodridge community, he was welcomed with open arms. Although he has faced many challenges, I never once felt the team at Woodridge gave up on him. They leaned in and showed him more care and respect than I could have ever imagined. The time, effort and commitment that is shown by all on campus on a daily basis is more than I could have wished for for my son’s elementary school experience.
